Jesus said, "Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while." (6:31) If you were one of the disciples, what would you expect?

some much needed peace and quiet
quality time with Jesus
a chance for prayer and meditation
anything but people

What a great opportunity for ministry!
I'm taking 'comp' time for this interruption.
Let's get out of here. No way I'm dealing with them now.
I have compassion for them, because they are like sheep without a shepherd. (6:34)
How did Jesus demonstrate his compassion for the crowd? (6:34)
