Medical Insurance Provision This trip is no more dangerous than any other typical tour of Greece. There are, however, extra physical concerns with all the walking we will do, so you are required to purchase some sort of insurance that includes medical coverage. You will be asked to confirm on the application that you will have international medical insurance. (Check to see if your existing medical insurance covers you. Some credit cards also provide coverage.) Shop around. Cost varies considerably depending on age, state of residence, cost of trip, and extent of coverage. HERE is a list of agencies recommended by Forbes. I have had good experience with Travel Guard by AIG. WorldNomads is another agency that is recommended with good prices. For a basic level of coverage, the cost is probably $100-$300 which includes travel coverage as well as medical coverage.
